Print & direct mail

A postcard with the homeowner’s own house on the front.

Their house next to your offer, with a tracked number so you know which card made the phone ring. Designed, printed, and mailed from our floor in Dayton. No broker, no plant three states away.

How the work moves

How a mail campaign works here.

  1. A mailing route drawn on a neighborhood map with the home count and average home valueMock-up

    1

    Target

We build the mailing list: your territory, your kind of customer. Nothing bought blind.

  2. A SouthTowne postcard proof full-screen on a shop monitor — the front of the card, checked before it prints

    2

    Design

Included with every run. Built to get a call, not to win an award.

  3. The press operator at the control panel while a postcard run prints

    3

    Print

On our press, from a few hundred pieces to tens of thousands.

  4. Buddy at the loading dock in front of two carts stacked with USPS trays of postcards, ready to go out

    4

    Mail

Addressed and presorted for USPS routes, straight into the mail stream.

  5. A call log on a laptop: every call matched to the tracking number it came in on and the campaign behind it, with the booked jobs marked. Caller numbers are blurred

    5

    Track

A tracked number on every card. You see the calls it made, not a guess.

The house-photo postcard

A card about their house does not read as junk mail.

People stop on a card that is clearly about their address and not a mass mailing. Their home on the front, your offer next to it: “We can have your driveway looking new by Friday.”

  • Personalized to every address, printed in the same run
  • Photos come from the same public street imagery you see on Google Maps
  • Works route by route or from a list you already have
  • Points at a tracked number or landing page, one per campaign

Want to hold one? We keep samples at 472 Windsor Park Dr — or we will walk you through a real card on the call.

Straight answers

What this is, what it costs, and how you know it worked.

What is a house-photo postcard?

A house-photo postcard is a mailer printed with a photo of the recipient's own home beside your offer. Every address in the run gets its own image, pulled from the same public street imagery you see on Google Maps, and all of them print in a single pass on our press in Dayton.

How does a tracked number show which mailer worked?

Each campaign gets its own phone number, printed on the card. When that number rings, the call is logged against that campaign, not guessed at. You see the calls the drop produced, which card they came from, and when they came in, instead of asking new customers how they heard about you.

How much does a contractor postcard campaign cost?

We quote every run, so there is no price list here. The number moves on quantity, card size, how the list is built, whether photos are personalized per address, and the USPS rate class you qualify for. Tell us the territory and the offer and you get a quote in one business day.

What is EDDM, and when does it beat a mailing list?

Every Door Direct Mail is a USPS program that drops a card at every address on a postal route, with no names or list required. It is cheap per piece and blunt. A built list costs more per address but skips the homes that will never call you. We price both on the same quote.

Common questions

Questions we get before a first mailing.

Do you design the postcard, or do I supply artwork?
Design is included with every run. You can send us artwork if you have it, but plenty of clients just tell us the offer and let us draw the card. Either way you approve a proof before anything prints, and the proof is the piece that comes off the press — same building, same file, no handoff to an outside printer who might substitute a font or shift the trim.
How small a run will you print?
From a few hundred pieces up to tens of thousands. Small test drops are normal and often smarter than a big one — mail a few hundred into one neighborhood, see what the tracked number does, then scale the version that worked. At the other end, we have printed 10,000 postcards in a single day. That is an example of a real job, not a stated maximum.
Where do the house photos come from?
The same public street imagery you already see on Google Maps. Nobody drives the route with a camera and nobody photographs anyone's family. Your logo and colors come off your existing signage, truck or website. You approve the proof, including the photo treatment, before a single card with your name on it goes on the press.
Do I need my own call tracking first?
No. We put a number on the card that belongs to that campaign and nothing else, and it forwards to whatever phone you already answer. Nothing changes about how your office takes calls. When that number rings, the call is logged against the drop that caused it, so the mailing gets credit for the job instead of the credit going to word of mouth.
Can I see a real card before I commit?
Yes. Ask for a sample and we will design a postcard with your own building on the front and your offer on the back, print it, and mail it to you. It costs nothing and there is nothing to cancel. If you would rather hold one today, we keep printed samples at the shop on Windsor Park Dr and you are welcome to come by.
Do you mail outside the Dayton area?
Yes. The press and the mail prep are in Dayton, but the mail goes wherever USPS goes. Our clients are mostly across Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, and a run is priced by where it is going and the rate class it qualifies for, not by how far it is from us. Tell us the territory and we will tell you what it costs to cover it.
